How to request a new connection

If you are building a new property or development or converting an existing property, you will need a new electricity connection. If you live in Scottish and Southern Energy’s (SSEPD) distribution area, we can arrange this for you.

If you are at an early stage of purchasing a site or planning a development, we can provide you with an estimate of likely service costs.

If you have finalised your requirements, and are ready to enter into a contract with us to provide your connection, we can give you a formal quotation.

You will need to fill in an application form to get a quotation or estimate for your connection.

Once we have received your application, we will send you a quotation for providing you with a new connection. This information sheet will give you more information about how the process works and you can also take a look at at our answers to frequently asked questions.
